Brown fused alumina (BFA) is made of high quality abrasive-grade alumina, supplemented with auxiliary materials, and refined in an electric arc furnace at a high temperature above 2250℃. It has good sharpness and strong grinding force. After high temperature treatment, it become the best material for various high grade coated abrasive products.
The smelting method of BFA P sand is divided into two types: fixed furnace and dumping furnace. Brown fused alumina smelted by dumping furnace has better texture and saves electricity. It is an excellent refractory material and abrasive. Refractory materials are widely used in steel mills, etc., and can withstand high temperatures of 1750 degrees.
BFA is mainly used for making ceramic grinding wheels, resin grinding wheels, grinding heads, grinding blocks, sandpaper, abrasive belts, abrasive cloths and polishing waxes, abrasives, abrasive paste coatings, etc.
