Silica mullite brick is an Al2O3-SiO2-SiC series refractory made of high alumina bauxite clinker and silicon carbide. It has better refractoriness under load, thermal shock resistance, wear resistance and erosion resistance than high alumina bricks, and even better than spinel bricks. It has become the most widely used refractory bricks in medium and large-sized cement rotary kilns. According to the actual application, it can improve service life of the cement rotary kilns. Now, silica mullite brick is also used in indutries of iron & steel, non-ferrous metals, chemical, etc. It has higher strength and load temperature than Mullite-SiC bricks.
Silica mullite brick is widely used in transition, calcining, cooling zones of cement rotary kilns.
Specification should be different according to different furnaces/kilns, standard shapes and customized drawings are acceptable.
