Silica brick is made from quartz stone materials with SiO2 content above 92%, the more SiO2, the higher refractoriness. Al2O3, TiO2 impurity amount is under 2%, silicon oxide brick is a kind of acid refractory materials, has good performance to resistant acid slag, but it is not resistant to alkali slag. And because of the poor shock resistance, silicon oxide brick is mainly used in the continuous operating furnaces. The silicon oxide brick can extent the service life of float glass kilns to 8 years and can double the service life of bottle glass kilns.
Silica brick can be widely used in coke oven, hot blast stove, glass kiln and carbon furnace, etc.
