Silica brick is made of sillimanite minerals with high temp firing method or slurry casting method, after being calcined at high temperature, sillimanite is transformed into mullite and free silica. Its physical and chemical properties are better than high alumina bricks, with the refractoriness of 1770~1830℃. For many years, it has been praised by users for its high fire resistance, high thermal shock stability and high corrosion resistance, and has achieved great social and economic benefits.
Sillimanite brick is mainly used in the glass kiln pool, lining and throat of blast furnace lining, ceramic kiln, etc.
Specification should be different according to different furnaces/kilns, standard shapes and customized drawings are acceptable.
