Checker brick is a kind of heat-transfer medium, which is mainly used for middle-upper part of regenerative chamber in hot blast stove for thermal storage in the burning period. It is widely accepted by the world’s iron-steel industry as a heat storage body with many excellent thermal characteristics such as strong heat exchange capacity, large heat storage area, smooth ventilation and low resistance. Checker brick plays an extremely important role in the process of heating cold air into hot air.
Checker brick is mainly used in hot blast stove, when the hot air is lower than 900℃, clay checker brick is generally used, and if higher than 900℃, the high alumina, mullite, sillimanite and silica bricks can be better choice.
Specification should be different according to different parts, standard shapes and customized drawings are acceptable.
